To all tourism-related organizations in the prefecture
Tetsuya Ikukawa, Director of the Mie Prefecture Tourism Department
We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your continued understanding and cooperation with Mie Prefecture's tourism administration.
The Japan Meteorological Agency has issued an emergency Nankai Trough earthquake information (warning for a massive earthquake) for the period from Thursday, August 6th to Thursday, August 8th, 8, which has had an impact on tourist destinations and transportation within the prefecture.
Even though the government's special appeal has ended, this does not mean that large-scale earthquakes will no longer occur. Therefore, we ask tourism organizations to continue to prepare for earthquakes and other disasters, and to inform related tourism business operators to continue to reconfirm the following points and take preparations.
○ Securing emergency supplies to provide to travelers
○ Providing information on evacuation routes, etc.

Mie Prefecture's website, "Disaster Prevention Mie.jp," provides disaster prevention information for the prefecture.
In addition to providing meteorological information and information that will be useful in emergencies, the "Disaster Prevention in Everyday Life" page provides information useful for disaster prevention, such as disaster prevention guidebooks, information on evacuation shelters and disaster prevention maps, and daily mental preparation, so please use it as a reference.
Please note that relevant businesses are required by law to create "Nankai Trough Earthquake Disaster Prevention Regulations" and must submit these to their respective fire chiefs or fire station chiefs, so please check again.
*For example, this applies to "inns, hotels, or lodging facilities (1 people)" as stipulated in Article 2-3, Paragraph 30 of the Enforcement Order of the Fire Service Act. For more information, please check the prefecture's website.
