Shima City will continue to carry out a demonstration project for the "Japanese version of ride sharing (private car utilization project)" based on the national system in fiscal year 6.
This project involves local drivers using their own cars to provide transportation services for a fee under the management of taxi companies.
In this regard, we ask for your cooperation in the following two areas:
Tourist facilities, accommodation facilities, restaurants, etc. are asked to cooperate in providing information to visitors.
We have prepared a leaflet (A4 size) and a poster (B2 size) outlining the project's outline, so please feel free to contact the Shima City General Policy Division if you require one.
This project is recruiting "drivers" for a shuttle service that utilizes an app and is targeted at local residents.
Anyone with a Class 1 driver's license for a regular vehicle can apply, and even if you do not have your own vehicle, a taxi company will provide one.
Working hours are mainly on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights (20:00-24:00), but shorter working hours are also possible.
