To coincide with the National Conference for Creating a Rich Ocean, which will be held in Shima City, Mie Prefecture on Sunday, November 2025, 11, Shima City has created an original bottle with a special design.
Sales began in mid-June at registered retail stores in the city, with a limited quantity of 6 bottles.
This original bottle is one of the projects promoting the use of personal bottles that has been ongoing since fiscal year 4 as part of Shima City's carbon neutral initiative.
We are encouraging the use of reusable bottles in order to reduce CO2 emissions and plastic waste.
The newly released bottle is made of stainless steel, has a capacity of 500ml, and comes in four colors: pink, brown, yellow, and blue.
The design was created by Shima City-based illustrator Shanti, and features illustrations that are full of the charm of the Shima sea, such as female divers, spiny lobsters, abalone, pearl oysters, and pufferfish.
