The tip of the Maejima Peninsula (Shima Peninsula) and Ago Bay lie below, with the Pacific Ocean to the southeast and the peaks of the Kii Mountains to the southwest. A green hiking trail has been developed, and from the top of the mountain, a magnificent 360-degree panoramic view of Ago Bay, the Kumano Sea, and the Shima Peninsula can be enjoyed.
Hiking course (time required: 60 minutes)
Total length: approx. 800 m
Walking: about 15 to 20 minutes one way
Road: Basically well maintained and easy to walk
Toilet: Regular toilets available near the summit
Summit: observation deck, pavilion, and benches available
Course: There are two courses, one from the Goza side and the other from the Koshiga side.
Parking: Tsumekiri Fudoson parking lot (free of charge) on the Goza side, Satoumian parking lot on
the Koshiga side (fee required/free of charge for those who experience Satoumi Hermitage, please
confirm).
